To access the Business Continuity Strategy Mapping feature, follow these steps:

Hover over the "Planning" menu: Located on the navigation bar of CIMSNex.

Hover "Business Continuity Strategy": This option allows you to map strategies/solutions to BIAs.

Click "Strategies & Solutions Mapping": This action initiates the creation of a new business continuity strategy mapping.
Mapping Strategies to BIAs
When mapping strategies to BIAs, follow these steps:

Select BIA: From the list of BIAs displayed, click the "Add" button next to the BIA item you want to map strategies for.

Complete the Form: Map the strategies below by selection relevant options i.e. Required, Not Required, Present, Not Present, Not Applicable:

Risk Assessment: Select the applicable option for risk assessment.

Contingency Planning: Select the applicable option for contingency planning.

Redundancy Planning: Select the applicable option for redundancy planning.

Recovery Site: Select the applicable option for recovery site planning.

Backup Planning: Select the applicable option for backup planning.

Succession Planning: Select the applicable option for succession planning.

Communication Planning: Select the applicable option for communication planning.

Training and Awareness: Select the applicable option for training and awareness.
- Additional Details: Additional information or details that provide context or clarification regarding the Business Continuity Strategy mapping.

Submit: Once all fields are completed, click "Submit" to create the business continuity strategy mapping.
Below are descriptions for each of the options:

Required: This option indicates that the strategy is deemed essential for addressing the identified risks and ensuring business continuity. A BCP must be developed for strategies marked as "Required" to ensure preparedness and resilience.

Not Required: This option signifies that the strategy is not considered necessary or relevant in the context of addressing the identified risks. Therefore, no specific action or planning is required for strategies marked as "Not Required."

Present: This option indicates that the strategy is already in place within the organization. While further review or enhancement may be necessary, existing measures are deemed adequate for addressing the associated risks.

Not Present: This option denotes that the strategy is currently absent or lacking within the organization. Further action is needed to develop and implement the strategy to address the identified risks effectively.

Not Applicable: This option is used when the strategy is irrelevant or does not apply to the specific context or circumstances under consideration. Therefore, no action is required for strategies marked as "Not Applicable."
